Jesse Johnson
Running for MN House!
Cannon Falls resident and decorated Army Veteran Jesse Johnson is running for the Minnesota House to represent us here in District 20A, which includes Goodhue and Wabasha County, and is currently represented by Rep. Barb Haley. Johnson, who currently works at Cargill Inc., grew up in Cannon Falls and enlisted at the age of 17 to
serve in the United States Army. During his 20-year career, he logged more than 1700 flight hours as a combat helicopter pilot in Afghanistan and Iraq, where he was awarded the Bronze Star, two Air Medals, and numerous other awards. In total, Johnson would spend 45 months deployed to Bosnia-Herzegovina, Iraq, and Afghanistan.
“I wanted my kids to have the same experiences growing up in a rural community as I did, and so my wife and I decided to settle back home after my military service. I can’t think of a better way to continue my passion for service than by representing my neighbors in the Minnesota House,” Johnson said. I bring years of leadership experience to this role and know that I can hit the ground running in St. Paul to be a strong voice for our rural communities and a champion for Veterans and Service Members.”
